and Listening – 4 hours
This course is designed to equip associates with the skills needed
to communicate clearly and listen carefully.
Conflict
Resolution – 4 hours
This course is designed to explore techniques to productively and effectively
prevent and resolve conflict.
Decision
Making – 4 hours
This course focuses on thinking strategically about making decisions;
the impact decisions can have on associates and the organization, and
how to deal with wrong decisions.
Delegating
for Productivity & Growth – 4 hours
This course equips leaders with the skills needed to maximize productivity,
motivation and growth within their teams through proper delegation.
Diversity
in the Workplace – 2 hours
This course explains the need for diversity in the workplace, the effects
of exclusion on associates and the organization, and the skills and
behaviors for managing a diverse workforce.
Feedback
Fundamentals – 4 hours
This course helps leaders assess their roles and learn to build involvement
through the use of feedback.
Food
Safety Certification – 8 to 16 hours
This training and certification class meets all the requirements of
the state and local boards of health for an approved food protection
program for in all states in which Stop & Shop/Giant operate.
Leadership:
Facilitating Change – 8 hours
This course shows leaders how to make change a positive experience
by focusing on a shared vision, building business partnerships, championing
ongoing improvement, and creating an environment in which learning
is encouraged.
Leading
Successful Meetings – 4 hours
This course equips associates with tools and techniques to effectively
conduct meetings.
Leading
Your Team to Optimal Performance – 8 hours
This course helps leaders improve their roles as coaches and developers
of team skills. Leaders learn how to maximize involvement, productivity,
motivation and growth.
Performance
Management – 3 hours
This program introduces participants to the tools and techniques required
for effective performance management.
Presentation
Skills – 8 hours
This course provides participants with the tools and techniques they
need to prepare and deliver a clear, concise and professional presentation.
Project
Management – 8 hours
This course provides an overview of basic project management concepts,
tools, and techniques.
Respect
in the Workplace – 2 hours
By developing skills to manage individual differences, respect, and
company changes, associates will be able to provide better service
to our customers and communities. This course focuses on how to recognize
and develop these important skills.
Selection & Interviewing
Skills – 4 hours
This course teaches associates how to use proven interviewing techniques,
evaluate potential candidates, and make effective hiring decisions
that are in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines.
Time
Management (Focus) – 8 hours
This course is designed to help associates improve operational and
personal efficiency through effectively managing their time.
To address additional developmental needs, the Training and HR Planning
Department works with associates to customize existing programs or
to identify appropriate training courses available through outside
vendors.
