Stop & Shop’s retail management Internship program was developed in 1997 as part of the company’s strategic diversity initiative. The focus of the program was to introduce more women and people of color to retail management as a career. The experience prepares interns for positions in our Store Management team upon graduation. Also, our interns have the opportunity to work at the corporate headquarters and other areas of the business as part of their four-year rotation in the program. The internship program helps college students develop valuable business skills and offers a chance to establish relationships with future business partners. This program provides a great working experience for talented students with the opportunity to become a part of our Store Management team upon graduation from college. Stop & Shop has consistently employed more than 80% of the graduating seniors each year to full time associates
